One of the must-do hikes in La Gomera starts with a short but steep ascent. Each step offers truly spectacular views, inviting you to peacefully savor the beauty of the landscapes. In the botanical realm, indigenous plants of exceptional diversity can be found on this cliff, some exclusive to this location. Upon reaching the Abrante viewpoint, we are greeted by an architectural structure nestled in a breathtaking environment. Aside from the impressive panoramic views of Agulo and the majestic Teide on the horizon, this viewpoint is located in a region with a spectacular reddish soil.
We continue our hike to the visitor center of the National Park, which houses an interesting botanical garden and various exhibition halls. The return journey takes us through another valley following the old royal trail to Agulo, recognized as the most picturesque town on the island, with its cobbled streets and traditional architecture that set it apart.
